About Christa M. Miller

Born in New York City, I've since lived in West Virginia, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. After I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1997, I continued my work on campus in computer technical support. However, influenced by my coworkers who pursued their own (musical) creative interests, I began to write part-time.

Eventually I left my job to go full-time. My customer-service experience gave me the tools I needed to meet both editors' and sources' needs, and I soon found myself with numerous contracts. Flexibility became my new business model in 2003, when my first child was born.

While I continued to write articles, I found new opportunities. These included public relations, book editing, and blogging.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons, reading, gardening, and swimming. I live in northern New England.
